Year 6 were able to work with Breaking Barriers once again, this time watching the monologue “Blind Side” as well as the video “Level the Playing Field” which featured a number of St Luke’s pupils.
The video and workshop focused on the issue of VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls). We were able to discuss the key issues raised in the video and collected our thoughts and ideas. This was followed by the monologue, looking at Summer’s experiences, and how they highlight the key themes of VAWG.

This week we made some sweet puff pastry tarts. Children were able to cut out the shapes they wanted and filled the puff pastry with sweet treats which we hen cooked in the air fryers. Read more…
