Online Safety

As part of our Purple Mash unit, we looked at playing and creating a game to help us understand the dangers around using the internet and social media. We used the information we had learnt, to create the game and then tested it out. We also took a quiz to start the unit, which we will revisit at the end to show what we have learnt over the half term.

Forest School

Snowdrops have all made a bird feeder this afternoon and some have been litter picking. We discussed who and how this helps. We linked our forest school session to our Bible story of the term “Mary and Martha” we split into two groups, both groups did a good deed. We then discussed which was the better deed? We talked about how both are great and how both are helping God just like Mary and Martha. Read more

PGL day 3

Last night the children enjoyed all their snacks they’d bought at the shops and relaxed ready for a fun filled day today. They kick started the day with a big breakfast followed by team games. Then we headed over to the zip line and trapeze where the children thoroughly enjoyed racing on the running zip wire. They are all worn out and ready for bed. But first, more fun!

PGL

The children have had a wonderful night sleep and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed breakfast this morning. This morning the children have done abseiling, orienteering, giant swing and challenge course. Every child has been amazing and really tried to conquer their fears of heights. Well done all.

We’ve Arrived At PGL

Year 6 have safely arrived at PGL, and have already enjoyed activities such as abseiling, climbing and sensory trail. We’re currently playing archery tag and designing a device to keep a water balloon safe when it’s dropped from the roof of the centre!

Year 1 Forest School

We then carried out a mindfulness activity, thinking about where the seed has come from and what it might grow into. We discussed what plants need to grow and also talked about what we need to grow, such as food, water, love, warmth, family and God. The Read more

Collage creation- Art

Last we used paint and different materials to create different textures. This week we then used this textured work to create a collage of a seaside. We had to chose collage materials based on the colour and texture and try out different arrangements of materials, including overlapping. Once complete, we used pastels to add extra detail onto our pictures.

Year 3 Birch – Art

We looked at some simple shapes to help us draw animals! We first sketched these shapes out, then added detail to create the more complex shapes and then, turn it into our animal! Can you guess what animal we had drawn?
