Year 3 Birch Cave Art
We looked more into cave art from the prehistoric times. They loved seeing the simplicity of them. We see last weeks picture that we drew and recreated it on a larger scale, using charcoal.

We used the bins to recycle all sorts of different objects today! The children discussed what each object was made out of and then put it in the correct bin.
As part of our reflective worship in class this week we have been demonstrating different ways in which we can show respect to others – in class, in school, at home and in the community. The children have written some beautiful prayers about respect, some of which we have displayed in our reflection area.

Our Year 5/6 football team took part in the Heywood Sports Partnership Premier League competition. The team were excellent throughout, winning 5 games and drawing 1, clinching 1st place and remaining undefeated on the night. All of the players played brilliantly well, showing fantastic attitudes as well as very impressive performances in each game. During this half term, year are working with an outside agency to master their cricket skills: throwing, catching and batting. The children are really enjoying the sessions and working extremely well.
