Wiggle Worship

Today we had our first session of wiggle worship. Jo came in and delivered the session and the ethos team supported the children. We had so much fun singing the wiggle worship song and praising God with the scarves. We listened to and joined in with the Easter story and then made a beautiful collage butterfly to represent life and transformation.

Easter Fun in Year 2

On Wednesday, we had a really exciting Easter Fun afternoon. We used natural materials to decorate Easter cards, we went on an Easter egg hunt on Kayden’s garden, we spotted the Easter bunny, we drank hot chocolate and ate Easter treats left by the bunny, watched an Easter Film and made Easter crafts. We had such a lovely day and are looking forward to writing a re-count of the day after the Easter.

African Drumming

Bluebells have had a fantastic afternoon taking part in an African drumming Workshop. We learnt all about Djembe drums. We learnt that they come from Mali and are traditionally made from wood. Everyone had a go at playing different rhythms on the drums and played along to some African music.

Ethos team assembly

Today Ethos did a fantastic job retelling the story of Joseph and his coat of many colours. The children spoke clearly and confidently during collective worship. They retold the story with a modern twist. We spoke about how Joseph showed forgiveness towards his brothers even though they were unkind to him.  They all received a headteacher’s award sticker. Well done Ethos team.
