Year 1 Oaks first week

This week Oaks have been settling back into school and getting used to their new classroom. They have loved exploring the outdoor area, areas in class and starting their brand new books!   They have been talking about what a scientist looks like, in preparation for their science topic about materials. They realised that it’s not an old man with crazy hair and a beard… a scientist could look like any one of us 🙂 Read more

Poem Portrait

Welcome back!! This week as part of PSHE we have been discussing how the decisions we make can help or hurt our hearts. The BFG experience day

We have had a fantastic first day. During English lessons this term we will be looking at the BFG by Roald Dahl. Today we started to read the story, made dream catchers, drew pictures of the BFG and we wrote synonyms for some of the BFG’s ‘muddled up’ words.

DT – Playgrounds

This half term, Year 6 have been researching, planning, designing and making their own playgrounds. The children have spent time at Queen’s Park looking at the provision and the location of such amenities and used this research to help plan and design their own playground. They have done such a super job of making different pieces of equipment: slides, swings, trampolines, zip lines, obstacle course and even the climbing pole from PGL. Well done 🙂 Read more
