We talked about the importance of hand washing today. Some adults and children used paint to represent germs because they ‘hadn’t washed their hands’. We played a clap and high 5 game where each child ended up with some blue paint on their hands. This showed how much the germs spread and how quickly it spread. In the end we all had blue hands! Year 3 Cedar would like to thank all the parents for all the wonderful costumes that we had in our class. We really had fun learning more about our class book Peter Pan while in fancy dress. Here are some pictures of our day. The children are coming home tonight with information about a reading competition Share a Million stories.
This morning we have had lots of fun in PE: climbing, balancing, moving and jumping in different ways from the large apparatus.

We have had lots of fun today celebrating World Book Day! We started the day with a fantastic secret reader and then we spent the rest of the day writing our own stories and acting them out We had some fantastic World Book Day costumes in Snowdrops!
We had a whale of a time during our World Book Day. Look at all the fabulous outfits that the children came in! We had amazing superheroes, Peter Rabbit characters, fairy tale princess’ and many more. All the adults came as crayons from ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’. Well done for everyone’s efforts today to celebrate our favourite books.
We kicked off our Moon Zoom topic this half term with a visit from some very messy aliens! They left behind some green gooey alien snot. BLEURGH! We all had a look at it and had to clean up their mess. It was fascinating to see and we were all very excited about our mysterious visitors. Maybe Mrs Nuttall might let Willows make their own alien snot sometime soon…
What a fantastic World Book Day! There were some amazing costumes – well done Maple! The children have written some excellent character descriptions based on ‘The Big Friendly Giant’ and we had a wonderful time during assembly looking at all the other classes costumes.
