Reception’s Assembly

We performed our assembly today in front of our parents, KS1 and KS2 and retold the story of the Hungry Caterpillar. We all had a special role in our performance which included dancing, singing and narrating. Eco Council works hard at Lunch!

Eco Council went up to the garden today to check on the veggies! Some of the veggies seem to be sprouting very tall! We watered them all but the watering cans were so full that they needed 2 people to carry them!   We always try to fill up from the water butt so we are using rain water, rather than fresh water from the taps – very Eco Friendly!   Why don’t you try Read more

Bolton Musuem visit

Year 5 had amazing time at Bolton Musuem learning all about the Ancient Egyptains. We became archeologist and explored a replica tomb of Pharaoh Thutmose III. We learnt lots of fantastic facts which we will use in our topic. Here are some pictures of our trip.

St Luke’s Time Capsule

With the new building coming along nicely, children have St Luke’s having been looking to the future to guess things will be like 100 years from now. Children from all across the school have come together to create a time capsule for children in the future to learn all about 2019.

Creating The Average Year 6 Child

As part of our ID topic, we have been collecting data about our class. We have taken significant measurements of each member of the class and recorded them on a table. From there, we have begun to present the data effectively on a range of graphs and charts. This has allowed us to see clearly what the average Year 6 pupil would probably look like. Over the next two weeks, we will be looking at Read more

Position, direction and movement

The children had to stand in the circle Read more
