We have started to do French Fridays on each Friday afternoon to start to learn about France and pick up some French language. We watched a short clip about a Lighthouse keeper. We then created the front covers to our books and wrote our own ‘Lighthouse keeper’ stories. They are amazing! Miss Gomm was very impressed with our writing.
Year 4 had an amazing day yesterday as our friends from All Saints came to visit us as part of the linking network project that we have been involved in. To end our unit on measuring we made some different drinks using orange juice, apple juice and pineapple juice. We made different recipes then had to follow our recipes to make them carefully by measuringout each juice. Once we made them we tried them and they tasted delicious 😋

This afternoon, Reception have been learning about bees. They have been learning about the life cycle of bees and finding out some interesting facts! We have then made eco friendly bees out of recycled materials.
Well done to the children in Years 5 and 6 who took part in the Great Science Share with the other schools in the Arch Alliance. We had a really fun afternoon getting to share our investigation with all the other schools, as well as carrying out the other investigations that the other schools brought to share with us.
This afternoon, Year 4 enjoyed going into Kaden’s garden to check on their planter. The peas are growing well, however we also found lots of weeds growing too. We worked hard to remove all the weeds and tidied up. We will back to check on the peas soon.
Reception went on a bug hunt this afternoon and searched in Kaden’s garden to find some. We found worms, slugs, wasps, flies and one bug we didn’t recognise.
