Year 5 have had a fun-filled week this week. At the beginning of the week we had a zoom call with the author and illustrator of a book called ‘Look Up’. The book is about a girl called Rocket, who is fascinated by space and convinces her family to spend more time looking up at the stars rather than looking down at their phones. The book was read to us by the author, and famous actor, Nathan Bryon. The children then had a drawing workshop with the illustrator and produced some fabulous drawings.
The children also enjoyed spending some time outdoors in Kaden’s garden this week. We read books, had hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows and made s’mores.
Our final day in school was party day. We had a party day breakfast of pain au chocolat and crepes. We had a Christmas quiz, hunted for chocolate coins outside, played party games and did some fabulous dancing.
