Year 5 have been working hard in their computing lessons this half term. We have learnt some new vocabulary and thinking about algorithms, abstraction and decomposition in computer science. The children have used Purple Mash to code a simple traffic light system. We also used a football game and thought about how the coding can be broken down into smaller steps. After this, we thought about designing a more complicated game and wrote a plan thinking about decomposition and abstraction.
