After 5 weeks of competition, our Euros football finals finally came to a thrilling end. First up our girls’ competition. A fantastic final was decided with almost the last kick of the game, a single goal enough for the win.
The boys’ final was even more nail-biting. An excellent equaliser drew the game level at 1-1, resulting in the game being decided by a dreaded penalty shootout. After going all the way to sudden death, it was Portugal that prevailed.
The children have enjoyed a half term of football competition and have thoroughly enjoyed the tournament. Each child received a medal, Megan and Jensen were award player of the match for the finals, and each manager will choose a player to receive a trophy for showing excellent attitude, behaviour and commitment throughout the tournament.
