Today, Year 5 have had a fun afternoon doing Forest School. In geography, we have been learning about slums and we recapped everything we have learnt so far. We spoke about how houses in slums are usually poorly constructed with any materials that can be found. We also spoke about how people living in these conditions might use fire to cook and keep warm. They children then explored the area, finding resources to create their own houses. Some children used a flint and steel to light their own fire.

Fieldwork
