Is it a fruit or vegetable?

This half term our Design and Technology Topic is ‘Fruits and Vegetables’. This afternoon, Willows have had fun sorting fruits and vegetables in to the correct categories. We discovered that fruits have seeds and vegetables don’t! Even though, we thought tomatoes, pepper and cucumbers were vegetables at first we now know they are fruits! 

We named and tasted lots of different fruits and vegetables and have been set a challenge to look out for different fruits and vegetables at home and in the supermarket!
