Maple are excited to be taking part in the Linking Schools project, this year will be a little different but it will be just as fun! Instead of meeting in person we had a Zoom call with our linking class at All Saints Primary School in Rochdale. We did lots of activities with the M6 theatre and got to learn lots about the Year 4 class and their school.
We watched a brilliant film called ‘When we started singing’ written and performed by the M6 theatre group. The film touched on lots of the experiences and feelings we had throughout lockdown and during the Corona Virus Pandemic. We had lots of opportunity to discuss and share our own feelings, thoughts and ideas during the day with our link class. We started to learn the song from the film and even learnt some British Sign Language so we could sign along with the characters in the film.
We look forward to learning more about our link class and doing more of the project with them in the near future!
