This morning, year 4 enjoyed visiting the park to experience the atmosphere of the opening scenes of Macbeth. We did this by imagining the sounds that Macbeth and Banquo might have heard as they travelled back to camp. We then used the environment to create these noises and recorded the soundscapes to use in class. We had the howling wind, thunder rumbling, witches cackling and branches snapping. After creating this spooky atmosphere, we had children in role walking through the soundscape and discussed how they would be feeling.
