Just before half-term, the whole school celebrated Random Acts of Kindness day by completing an activity that showed kindness to others.
Y6 Roman- Put posters around school with positive messages
Y6 Sycamore- Cake decorating for other people.
Y5 Birch- Went litter picking in the local area
Y4 Maple- Collected for the food bank
Y4 Hawthorn- made small crafts for others children in the community to find
Y3 Birch- Collected for a charity shop
Y3 Cedar- Collected for Bleakholt animal sanctuary
Y2 – Completed a colouring and wrote a kind message to residents at a carehome
Y1- Made and wrote special cards for a family member, telling them why they are special
YR- Made biscuits for a friend in the opposite class
The Anti-bullying ambassadors- Wrote cards with special messages for the staff in their class and some Ks2 children went to the care home to spread kindness with a cake and chat afternoon.
Well done to all the children and a big thank you to all the families that helped with donations. The activities completed, reminded the children of the importance of being kind and how great it feels to give as well as receive kindness and that there are many ways to be kind other than giving money.
