In this lesson, we looked at how different sounds are produced- by plucking, blowing or striking. We then created our own instrument using a tissue box, 4 elastic bands of different thickness, lolly sticks and a roll holder. We made predictions and then tested them out. After that, we wrote a method and conclusion of what we had found. ‘We found that the thinner the elastic band, the higher the pitch because they can vibrate more quickly than the thicker ones’.
