We used the bins to recycle all sorts of different objects today! The children discussed what each object was made out of and then put it in the correct bin.
This afternoon, Year 5 participated in a lesson – ‘The environment and Recycling’ – which was delivered by Nigel Goulding from Rochdale Borough Council. In gardening club over the last 2 weeks, we have had lots of fun making caterpillar grass heads and creating watercolour paintings. We have planted plugs into our planters and we hope to see some growth soon.
We are already loving our new planting topic. We went up to Kaden’s Garden to do some planting in the sunshine.
Children loved gardening club today and enjoyed researching which plants are able to grow in winter conditions. We then went up to the garden and tidied the garden.
The children are loving the hot chocolate and the chance to purchase a Fairtrade product. Remember, every Friday the tuck shop will be available for 50p an item.
