Today in RE, we discussed how Christians believe that God created the world and all of the fantastic things you can find in nature. We went down to our forest school area and carried out a nature hunt. We talked about which amazing nature find was our favourite and why.
This week, Year 1 began a new maths unit ‘Position and direction’. Our first lessons were on full, half and quarter turns, and left and right. We had a fantastic time at forest school today. We celebrated the big garden bird watch and made some bird feeders and hung them from the trees. We toasted marshmallows on the fire and made s’mores. We also built dens and explored the trees and nature.

This week we celebrated christmas with our Christingle service. Thank you to all those that were able to join us.
Children loved foraging for their materials to create their wreaths. They loved designing how they will lay it out and how many berries they want to put on. Well done everyone!
