This morning we have had a very special visitor in Buttercups, Charlie chocolate chick (named by the class)! We made sure we were quiet and gentle as we each had a turn holding or stroking the chick.
Ths week we have been learning about weight. For our snack yesterday we made cakes using the balance scales. The children had to balance all of the ingredients with the eggs. To finish off our Chinese New Year week all of the children went outside and worked together to paint a big Chinese dragon on the floor with paints. Each pair had a square of the dragon to fill. The children thought the dragon was very scary!

This week we have been using numicon to find the answer to addition number sentences.
During French week the children in Buttercups tasted lots of French food. We tasted crepes, baguettes, pain au chocolat and croissants. The children decided that the pain au chocolat were the best!
