In Reception we have been learning about the story of Nehemiah in Wiggle Worship. Over a few weeks, Wiggle has been bringing us a different part of the story to read together. We have been discussing how it links to respect and how it can help us. The children realised that Nehemiah was a leader and our leader in school was Mrs Farrall. They discussed how we need to be respecting everyone and we need to respect our leader, Mrs Farrall, like Nehemiah.
In the past couple of weeks, the children have helped Nehemiah rebuild his city and then they have had a parade to celebrate their hard work. The children made their own musical instruments and marched through school with their instruments celebrating. We then always finish off Wiggle Worship with the scarf dance and a prayer.
