Today was World Book Day at St Luke’s. From Cindy Lou to Aliens where underpants to King Henry VIII (a perfect fit for our theme ‘Off With Her Head’), the children all looked fantastic.
Year 5 have taken part in lots of Book Day activities including online workshops with authors and illustrators, live online lessons and trying to workout which teachers were ‘The Masked Readers’.
Each class has also created some work based around the story of ‘Goldilocks and the three Bears’. In Year 5 we worked on a newspaper report about ‘the crime’. We read through the story and watched an example of a live news broadcast, before writing our own scripts for a live report. We then had lots of fun acting these out to the class.
