All of year 1 had a fantastic time at forest school today. Oaks enjoyed finding things that grow and went on a hunt for different types of seeds. We then carried out a mindfulness activity, thinking about where the seed has come from and what it might grow into. We discussed what plants need to grow and also talked about what we need to grow, such as food, water, love, warmth, family and God. The children then planted the seeds that they had found and made some wildflower seed bombs with clay. Willows thought about autumn and went on a scavenger hunt looking for signs of autumn. The children were also very excited to find a frog in Kaden’s garden! The children also listened to a story about autumn changes.
