This week, all the classes are taking part in a workshop by Jess from SCARF. Each class teacher has chosen a workshop that they feel will be most beneficial to children as part of their ‘learning for life’. Today, Year 1 took part in their workshop about feelings. Harold the giraffe told the children about a really bad week he had. He was carrying around a big bag of feelings from the week and the children helped to unpack the bag, discuss the different feelings and learnt about different things we can do to help those feelings. We also learnt more about the brain and how the brain is where our feelings come from.
The children were brilliant at recognising the feelings and helping Harold to feel better.
