We have had lots of fun learning about Minibeasts in our English and topic lessons. We then used this knowledge to help to design and make a minibeast. On our designs we had to make sure they had the correct number of legs and antennas. Once we finished painting them and adding on the extra parts on we took them into Kaden’s garden to put them in their natural habitat.

Year 5 enjoyed their forest school sessions today, despite the wet weather. We started the session by discussing the flora and fauna in the area. We visited Kaden’s Garden last week and tidied up our planter! We had lots of fun digging in the mud, making sure the weeds were pulled out and put in the compost heap for recycling. After we prepped out planter, we then got some TINY carrot seeds and planted them, covered them and watered them well. We had a lot of fun.
What a lovely week week we have had learning all about the gingerbread man!
