This afternoon we have been learning about rhythms in our music lesson. We began our lesson singing our hello song and clapping along. This afternoon, year 5 worked in Kaden’s garden finding out about the roles of different parts of a flower. We then studied the flowers in the garden to see if we could find the different parts. Back in class, we carefully dissected some flowers and managed to find the anther, filament, pollen tube, stamen, ovary and petals. Tomorrow, we will be practicing writing complex sentences about plant reproduction.

This afternoon, Year 5 walked to Heywood Library and enjoyed exploring the books and finding out more about what the library has to offer. Each child chose a book and were all engrossed in the first few pages before we had to set off back to school. We hope this passion for reading will continue at home.
Today year 3 have been learning about the diet of our ancestors. We looked at Bronze Age poo to see what they eat. Here are some pictures of our ivestigation.
This afternoon Year 3 were discovering what early humans used to eat.
