French classroom phrases

Today we learnt some basic classroom phrases. We completed the actions as we said the phrases to help us remember, then practised in pairs by asking our partners to complete one of our French commands. In class each week we have French Friday. Year 4 French

In French this week we recapped previous learning on colours and animals. We also talked about masculine and feminine nouns. We then created some fabulous work using nouns and adjectives in the correct form. We had fun at the end playing French stand up bingo.

Making Porridge

This week we have been learning about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We tasted porridge last week and then this week we have been making porridge in different areas of the classroom. Alien Spaceships

After receiving the letter from the aliens and finding out they had crashed their spaceship, we decided that we should make them a new spaceship to help them get back to their planet. Subtraction

This morning, we have been learning about subtraction in maths. We needed to pick a number card and then collect that amount of raisins. Once we had the correct amount of raisins we could pick a different number card and take away that amount of raisins, to see how many we had left. Gold Reward for Jacob

Oaks and the whole of St Luke’s are so proud of Jacob’s behaviour on Tuesday evening. Whilst Jacob was in the park with his brother he found a brand new iPhone that someone had lost. The Big Battery Hunt of 2019

Eco Council are asking you to look anywhere and everywhere for used, unwanted batteries so we can collect them to be in with a chance of winning some amazing prizes.   At the moment, we have 268 batteries but we need more!   So please, look in your Nan’s house, your Auntie’s house, at your parent’s workplace…. anywhere where  there might be some unwanted batteries.
