We had a fantastic morning when Wardle brass band came in to perform for us. Ms Smith got us all really involved and talked about the different instruments that the children played. As part of our topic we have discovered that the Olympics began in Olympia, Greece in 776BC to honour Zeus the king of gods. We looked at what events took place and compared it to our modern day olympics. We then split into teams and took part in a mini Greek Olympics. We included events such as running, long jump and discuss.

Today in Reception, we have seen our first tadpole hatch! We were all very excited and can’t wait to see more of them hatch out of their eggs!
This afternoon, we have had some frogspawn arrive in Reception. We have all had a chance to examine the frogspawn and look at them close up. It was very interesting seeing real frogspawn!
