Darwin’s Journey

Charles Darwin may never have fully developed his Theory of Evolution if it wasn’t for his trip on the HMS Beagle. We looked at plotting locations on a map, writing their location using degrees of longitude and latitude, and using scales to calculate the distances Darwin travelled.

Building Bug Traps!

Shared learning and lunch

Many thanks to all the parents/guardians who joined us for our shared learning and lunch today. The children and I thoroughly enjoyed having you here and I hope you enjoyed it too. The Greek vases are looking fabulous and will be painted with Greek designs once they are dry. Well done everyone

Cedar shared lunch and learning

We had lots of fun during our shared learning and lunch. We got a bit messy making papier-mâché Greek vases. When they have dried and hardened we will then paint them and decorate them just like the Ancient Greeks did. After getting creative, we enjoyed our lunch with our parents in the hall, it was delicious!

World Book Day – Gruesome Guides

As part of our share-a-story World Book Day (WBD) theme, Year 6 decided to build on some of their previous writing…ghost stories.   We have produced a two-part guide on how to be a monster.   The guides are inspired by a WBD author masterclass, where an author suggested taking your normal daily routine and changing it to fit a different type of character.   We took our daily routine and changed brushing your teeth Read more
