We have had a fab day today in our school trip to Knowsley safari park. We saw lots of amazing animals and had the chance to stroke a giant African snail and a snake. The children were all really brave as well and went into the bat cave.
We had a fantastic trip to Knowsley Safari! We took part in an African workshop, watched a sea lion show and went on a safari with a tour guide!
This week in Bluebells we have been doing lots of activities and learning about the story ‘We are going on a bear hunt’. We have all enjoyed the story and had lots of different challenges to do. Thank you to everyone who came to watch Reception’s sports day. We all had a lovely time and enjoyed all the different races. Well done to Bluebells who won! We have had lots of deliveries to school which means lots of boxes and Buttercups have put them to good use! We have used the boxes and materials to make dens and have written messages all over them.
This week we have set our butterflies free! We watched them grow from caterpillars to cocoons and then into butterflies. The children each took a turn to hold a butterfly before setting it free in Kayden’s Garden.
We have had a very exciting day today in Bluebells. We have released our butterflies! We have been carefully observing the butterflies each day to check when their wings are strong enough to be released outside. We now have 30 butterflies flying and having fun in Kayden’s garden…
Today, children experimented with different objects to see if they floated. We found out that the objects that were filled with air floated on the water and the objects that were solid with no air in them sank to the bottom. See our boats below! Bluebells have been having lots of fun in the sun but we are getting too hot! This afternoon, because we worked so hard this morning, we found some shade in our outdoor area to have a little paddle.
