This week we have been talking about British science week. The children have discussed what science is and how it is all around us.

Reception have been learning about flowers. We have been naming different flowers and learning the different parts of a flower. One of our favourite flowers are the tulips!

We have been very busy this week investigating what flowers and plants need to grow. The children came up with their own ideas to test what flowers needs to grow and then they have made their own predictions. We have a bunch of daffodils in Bluebells to test our theories. There are some daffodils in water with access to sunlight, there are some without water and some are kept in the dark with water. Everyday we have been examining the flowers and observing the changes they have made throughout the week.

Bluebells have made excellent scientists! They also have lots more ideas to test next time.
