This half term we’re learning about installation art. During todays lesson we investigated the explosive artwork of Cai Guo-Qiang. We looked at the techniques used to create explosion effects like Cai used and created our own scaled down versions of an art installation. We used mixed media such as paint, stencils, chalk and even tea bags to create our installations. The children concluded the lesson by discussing the effect their installation would have on its viewer.
