In art this half term Year 5 have been learning about installation art. We have looked at work from artists around the world and how they use unusual methods to create art. Children created their own piece of installation art in a box using stencils and explosive paint techniques. We then created a large-scale piece of installation art in our classrooms using everyday objects. We had some fantastic results and the children worked well as part of a team and developed their problem solving and reasoning skills at the same time.
