Maple have been down to the River Roch in Queens Park this morning. The children were amazing at spotting meanders and signs of erosion, transportation and deposition – ask them what it means if you’re not sure! They were quick to spot signs of pollution and notice wildlife that had made its home around the river bank. We also carried out an investigation to find out the speed at which the water in the river was flowing. There was some great use of trundle wheels and stopwatches. Well done, Maple!!!
