Year 5 had a fabulous time at forest school this week. First we thought about how science is all around us and we thought about the amazing job that scientists do. We thought about environmental scientists and the jobs they do to protect our planet. We then explored the area and invented tools that would help environmental scientists. After this some children created their own mixtures using natural resources and then challenged each other to separate the mixtures using filtering and sieving. The children did an amazing job. We also worked in groups to light a fire and enjoyed making and eating s’mores around the fire.
