This afternoon in Pine, the children have been introduced to our ‘Skills Builder’ programme. These are a group of 8 essential skills that are highly transferrable, and support us to do any job, anywhere. Over the course of the year we will be looking at each of these skills in detail and carry out lots of activities related to them. Today we have focused on ‘listening’ and ‘presenting’ – two skills that are vital to any job role. We discussed what makes a good listener and a good presenter. The children then thought about specific job roles where these skills would be very important.
