Year 5 were excited to create art work for a whole school competition this afternoon. For the competition, each year group has been given one of our Christian values to focus their art work on- the winning art from each year group will be displayed in our new entrance.

For our new art topic, we are looking at ‘Human form’. Our first lesson was human alphabet. We have been creating letters with our body. We worked with a partner or in a 3 to create the different letters.
Our new topic in Art is Photography. today the children looked at various examples of work from other artists: ‘Peter Kennard’ and Jerry Uelsmann’. The children eventually created a photo montage using secondary source photographs. They did a brilliant job and their personalities really shone through their work.
