We really enjoyed our shared learning experience. We played ‘Guess Who’ in French then sketched each other and labelled it with French vocabulary. During French week we studied the artist Van Gogh we created his ‘Starry Night’ painting by using pastels to create a background for our Carcassonne castle sketches which we put in the foreground. We hope you like them 😬😁😃

During French week we tasted different French foods, which were delicious. In Year 5 we also made ratatouille ready for the French Cafe.
During French week the children in Buttercups tasted lots of French food. We tasted crepes, baguettes, pain au chocolat and croissants. The children decided that the pain au chocolat were the best!
Children learned about castles in France during French week! To promote recycling, we asked children to bring in materials such as boxes and tissue paper rolls to build these castles.
