In forest school this week Year 6 Rowan have been learning all about The Good Samaritan by sequencing the story and then using the natural forest materials to create artwork. The children has so much fun exploring forest school and were very lucky the rain held off.
As part of our remembrance celebrations, Year 6 took a wreath the lay at the cenotaph in Heywood. Year 6 were joined by Mrs Farrall and Councillor Rush. We loved running round the garden, looking for colourful, vibrant plants. We have lots of amazing plants still, even in Autumn. We enjoyed clearing away some of the leaves 🍂 and putting them on the compost heap.
Snowdrops went on a prayer hunt during Forest school. They searched for images of Jesus. We discussed the differences and similarities of the pictures. The children have had a wonderful night sleep and they’ve thoroughly enjoyed breakfast this morning. This morning the children have done abseiling, orienteering, giant swing and challenge course. Every child has been amazing and really tried to conquer their fears of heights. Well done all.
