After 6 weeks of working with sports journalist, Gareth Walker, Year 6 produced their own opinion pieces are the importance of winning. We were also able to have a Q&A with Gareth around his role and a career in writing and journalism.
During session four of our Literacy Kicks workshops, we looked at the role of a sub editor and how they edit submitted news reports before publishing. On Friday 13th December, we officially opened our outdoor classroom. We have named it ‘The Rush Room’ in memory of our Governor; Councillor Peter Rush. On Friday, Key Stage 2 took park in a Santa Dash to raise money for Save The Children. We had a great time and had a treat of hot chocolate And biscuit after all of our hard work!
