This afternoon, a group of children from Year 5 took part in the Great Science Share. We met with the other schools in the Arch Alliance over Zoom and each presented a Science investigation to each other which we followed and completed. The investigations that we did are:

  • How does invisible ink work?
  • How does the brightness of a bulb change when the voltage is increased/decreased in a circuit?
  • How does the amount of sugar affect the speed and amount of carbon dioxide produced?
  • How can I extinguish a candle without blowing on it?
  • Can we make dirty water clean again?
  • How does a gas change the density of a liquid?
  • How do you make fireworks?
