This week we have been learning about being a good friend and who is special to us. We read The Rainbow Fish, then discussed what makes a good friend and how we can be a good friend. During the story we discussed how the fish would be feeling. Everyone then practised different facial expressions linked to their feelings. We all had lots of excellent ideas throughout the story! The children thought a good friend needed to show kindness, love to others and to be forgiving.

After talking about being a good friend, Grace left us a story and some pictures around school. It was like a treasure hunt! Grace gave us a clue of each picture and then when we found the picture, it had part of the story on the back. The Bible story was The Calling of the First Disciples. During this story we discussed how Jesus’ disciples were good friends and how special they were to Jesus.
