Hawthorn enjoyed a lesson of discovering on Friday afternoon. We went outside for our Geography lesson. We worked with a partner to read the information on mountains which helped us to answer lots of questions.

Year 4 had a fantastic time this afternoon as we went down to the River Roch in Queen’s Park. The children spotted meanders and signs of erosion, transportation and deposition. Year 4 Hawthorn loved having their Parents, Grandparents and Godparents join our English lessons today! We were given some boring sentences to edit and improve. We added fronted adverbials, adverbs, adjectives, similes and interesting verbs. The sentences created were very impressive. We finished the morning with a shared lunch.
Today we were put into groups and each group were given a different picture of a Mountain Range. During this half term, we are going to be creating models of our Mountain range. Today we created prototypes of our structures and made annotated sketches of our designs.
