This afternoon we have been investigating chemical reactions. We observed the effect of changing the amount of vinegar on the reaction with sodium bicarbonate. Juniper have been working hard to create some spreadsheets this afternoon. We used the letters of the alphabet as our variables. The counting tool helped us to identify which vowel was used the most in our text and the frequency that the consonants were used.
This afternoon, Juniper have been learning about what a physical change is in Science. Juniper have had another visit from Mrs Weatherhead this week. We’ve had a fantastic time exploring different types of poems. We’ve written poems of our own about Heywood and its surrounding areas and produced some fantastic artwork. Eventually, we’ll be publishing a book of these poems – watch this space!
This morning we have been experimenting with sentences! We identified the main clause and subordinate clause of a sentence. We then played around with the structure of the sentences by moving the clauses. Have a look at some of our fantastic work.
