Truck safety

This week we were fortunate enough to receive a visit from our local police force to teach us some valuable truck safety information. The children were surprised to learn how little a truck driver can see when a person is standing close to the front of the truck. The children had a great learning experience and enjoyed becoming the truck driver.

Year 1 on a prayer hunt

Year one enjoyed their day exploring prayer in different ways today. They thought about tree rings and how they show the growth of a tree, then thought about how they’ve grown since they were born. They then write some lovely prayers saying thank you to God for helping them to grow. We also thought about where Christians live and looked on a world map and found out that Christians live all over the world. We Read more

We also thought about where Christians live and looked Read more

Ethos Team Collective Worship

The Ethos Team did a brilliant job of leading worship today. They re told the story of Mary and Martha using drama. They told us how important it is to respect each other no matter how different we are. They finished with a beautiful prayer reflecting on not loosing our temper and giving people space when needed. A very big well done to all of the children, they were fantastic!

Birch went on a prayer hunt

We loved today! We had so much fun learning more about RE and doing the activities. We made seed bombs out of clay and seeds and we took them home so we can decide where we are going to ‘chuck’ them and watch them grow! We also looked at beliefs of others and what they believe Jesus looks like. We drew pictures to show this. We also built shelters to represent shelters for those who Read more
