Willows Great Fire of London Artwork

Last week we made some amazing pictures using oil pastels and black card.   We tried to recreate what we thought the skyline of what London might’ve looked like during the Great Fire of London. They used oil pastels in reds, oranges and yellows to blend together to create the fire effect. I think they have done an amazing job! Well done, Year 1! x

Final Forest School Session for Year 5

We had an amazing time for our final forest school session in year 5 today! Quotes from the children included: “That was the best day ever!” and “Can we do it all again?” We started off the session completing a teamwork task. Everyone had to work as a team to get to the forest school area- without stepping out of the hoops. If children did step out of the hoops, they could have been eaten Read more

Greek Artefacts

Game Creators

In computing this half-term, Year 5 have been creating their own games. They have analysed  other games, designed settings and themes, designed characters, changed animations and sounds that their character makes, written instructions and evaluated their peers’ games to help future designs. We are really impressed with their completed games! Well done Year 5!

Forest school improvements

Year 5 had their 5th forest school session today! The children explored the area and found and identified a range of minibeasts. We found snails, worms, centipedes and millipedes. We then discussed how we can improve the area for the fauna and for ourselves. The children then used the skills they have learnt to work as a team and build some amazing fences to make our fire circle more private. Some children created some amazing Read more
