We have had lots of fun today for Christmas jumper day. We started the day off with a fun P.E lesson and Mr Tomkins played lots of different games with us. Year 5 have made some fantastic calendars during art lessons this week. First we thought about warm and cool colours and which colours we associate with different seasons. We then used watercolour paints to create the backgrounds. After this we used lines and patterns to draw symbols of the seasons.
Look at our lovely class wearing their Christmas clothes today! They all looked fantastic and all children were very happy. They loved to show each other their Christmas clothes 🙂

Today Juniper completed their hour of code for hour of code week. The children had to create a Grinch themed game by creating algorithms. There were various levels to pass which included programming a drone to collect presents to take back to Whoville and riding the Sleigh, with various obstacles in our path.
Today, year 3 have been trying to replicate a model of Stonehenge. We researched what Stonehenge looks like and then designed and created our own monolith structure using biscuits. Here are some pictures of our structures

Tonight, Year 5 had their Christmas movie night. We had lots of fun watching ‘Christmas Chronicles’ whilst eating popcorn and drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows 😋
