Willows are having fun!

We have had lots of fun this week, getting to know the lovely children of Willows. They have wonderful manners and are very well behaved! Bright, white teeth

Year 4 Hawthorn have had a fantastic start to the school year with their new topic ‘ Burps, bottoms and bile.’ Last week Hawthorn thought about how it would make them feel to have rotten teeth. Today year 4 have been busy investigating how good we are at brushing our teeth properly. We’re pleased to report that everyone is doing a good job at brushing away plaque from their teeth!

We had a lovely start to the year by completing lots of fun pirate activities for our new topic Land Ahoy! We have made pirate hats, painted a pirate ship or pirate on purple mash for our front covers for our books, used the Beebots to direct around a treasure map, coloured in pirate pictures and completed pirate word searches.

🐸🦋🌻Kaden’s Garden🌻☀️🍭

As it is our last week in school and the sun has been shining, we decided to spend part of our afternoon up in Kaden’s garden. We had fun exploring the new plants, checking on our crops and watching the wildlife, spotting lots of frogs and tadpoles and watching the doves. We also shared memories of year 3 and had a little treat eating ice-pops in the seating area. Thank you to all the children Read more

Butterflies 🦋

Last week, our caterpillars turned into beautiful butterflies. We released them into Kaden’s garden and said goodbye. We hope they have lots of fun and enjoy flying in Kaden’s garden.

Police Dogs

This morning, we have had some police dogs visit St.Luke’s. We enjoyed learning about police dogs and their jobs. It was very interesting to hear about what they did in work. They then let us try on some of their uniform… We loved seeing the dogs and we hope they will come and visit us again!

Year 4 visit to Tatton Park

Year 4 had a fantastic day at Tatton Park. When we arrived, we met an Anglo Saxon villager. She had heard that Vikings were on the way to attack their village and asked if we could help prepare for battle. Everyone got into character and spent the day as Anglo Saxon villagers. We discovered how to hunt for deer and how the Anglo Saxons were eco friendly and used all the parts of the animal. Read more

Magna Trip

We had an amazing time at Magna! We explored Fire, Water and Air through different experiments and we also had a magnet workshop where we investigated how strong some magnets can be! We also went on the park in the sunshine! What a lovely day we have had. Well done Cedar for being so well behaved. What a great way to end the school year 🙂 x
