Wacky Races in P.E.

Children have been participating in races during their P.E. lessons. Skills they are learning during P.E. Building up confidence to try things independently Learning that sometimes we win and sometimes we don’t win… and that’s ok! Listening to instructions Learning the rules of the games We can honestly say that we have some very competitive Oaks… including the members of staff in the room!

Which material is the most effective in blocking light?

In Science we have been experimenting with different materials to see which block the most light effectively. We found out that a dark opaque material which doesn’t reflect much light was the most effective in blocking light. We then created a bedroom including different light sources and a variety of materials making sure we chose the correct material for bedroom curtains so they blocked out lots of light! 😬😁😄

Super scaling!

This week in maths we have been using Cuisinare rods to understand scaling and how it links to multiplication and division. We worked hard to find lots of different calculations and then explained our findings. 😬😀🤗
