We have been having lots of fun in Bluebells class this week, while we have been doing lots of Easter activities. The decorated eggs that everyone brought in were fantastic! This morning we have had a very special visitor in Buttercups, Charlie chocolate chick (named by the class)! We made sure we were quiet and gentle as we each had a turn holding or stroking the chick.
We all sang beautifully at the church yesterday! We hope you enjoyed ‘Life is a wonderful thing!’ We did some British Sign Language in the chorus did you spot it? We really enjoyed learning and performing it and learning about the Easter Story. Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter, from all of the pupils and staff in Year 3!

For science we have been investigating how to make a ball roll further. We made predictions by making one change to the experiment. This is what we changed: using 5 books instead of 4 books, putting the ramp at the end of the books or using a chair instead of books. Year 1 had lots of fun today performing our Easter song ‘Spring Chicken’ to the rest of the school and our mummies and daddies who came to watch.
We have been working really hard this week with fractions. We then played a tarsia game to work out 1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 2/4 and 3/4’s of a number.
After learning all half term about Normans and their castles, we have worked in groups to create a Norman Castle. Here is what the process of creating the castle looked like.
Year 5’s shared lunch went really well today. Lots of comments from the adults about how delicious the food was and how nice it was to see their children in their lunchtime environment. A lovely opportunity to eat and chat together. Well done Year 5 😛
