Today during our maths, Year 1 have been learning to use the greater than and less than symbols. We enjoyed a practical maths lesson to begin to understand how to use these symbols. We then had a practice of writing the symbols with numbers on our pads! The children did so well!
European Day of Languages – Year 4 Celebration! We have had a fun day celebrating European day of languages. We came to school wearing red, white and blue then started the day by eating delicious croissants while listening to French music. We have been learning how to say hello and hi in French and took part in a traditional French dance lesson too.
What a fun day of languages! We started the morning with some french music, followed by a delicious pain au chocolat. This afternoon we’ve been busy learning how to say we have a pet, as well as competing in a Kahoot quiz about European countries, singing heads, shoulders, knees and toes in French and taking part in a Spanish dance workshop. As part of European Languages day today Year 6 Sycamore took part in a flamenco dancing workshop. The children enjoyed learning some new moves and learning about other cultures.
